Today, SYC inspires and helps people of all ages and backgrounds.
We were engaged to help the organisation go through a period of self reflection and self development, in an effort to make meaningful efforts to set thinking going forward, on how services are provided and the position they within the industry.
SYC has a relentless belief in people and their potential, and this belief goes back more than 60 years to their beginnings as the “Service to Youth Council”.
SYC is a not-for-profit organisation investing into the Australian community, helping tens of thousands of people every year with housing, education and employment. Founded in 1958 to support young people experiencing disadvantage, the organisation has now extended its expertise to people of all ages and backgrounds.
While the organisation had outgrown its name, research showed it held incredible equity. As such, we retained and refreshed these three letters and breathed a whole new life into them with the tagline “So You Can”.
By merging SYC’s traditional blue and green brand colours, we developed a distinct and teal colour that was ownable within their competitive space.
Through the brand, we placed a lot of emphasis on photography: capturing genuine and authentic imagery to empower and inspire SYC’s at times vulnerable audience.
